The Women’s Ministry at Calvary Chapel Kansas City seeks to provide opportunity for the women in the body to experience personal spiritual growth, to have a more intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus, to mentor, teach, train, equip, and disciple women to walk in their scriptural role, and to offer outreach for salvation to the unsaved. These opportunities are created through Bible study, prayer, worship, special events, retreats, and times of intimate fellowship.
It is the desire of the Women’s Ministry to adhere to the instruction given throughout the Scriptures. As we follow these guidelines, we believe that the Holy Spirit will be manifest in our lives to glorify the Lord in everything we do as a ministry.

Women’s Prayer
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Friday each month at 10am at the church office. The office is located at 9154 West 135th Street in Overland Park, KS (Behind Cornerstone Bank). You can pick up a prayer schedule at the Women’s Ministry table on any Sunday morning. It is exciting to see the Lord answer prayer in amazing ways as we trust Him with all our needs.
Women’s Bible Study
The 2011/2012 Women’s Bible Study begins Thursday, August 18th and will run through the end of April. It is called “Against All Odds” by Cheryl Brodersen. We are blessed that these Joyful Life studies are now in a DVD format so that we can glean from Cheryl’s in-depth teachings in Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther. Cheryl is the youngest daughter of Pastor Chuck and Kay Smith and is following in her mother’s footsteps by leading and teaching these studies at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.
Praise, prayer, and promises are some of the exciting results of this dramatic in-depth teaching of these historical Old Testament books. See how God rebuilt the temple, restored the wall, and redeemed His people in this drama of redemption. Know that God desires to rebuild, restore, and redeem you as He did the Jews. Come and experience the glory of what only God alone can do!
We meet the 1st and 3rd Thursday nights each month at 7pm at the church office located at 9154 West 135th Street in Overland Park, KS (Behind Cornerstone Bank). Each time we meet there will be a time for prayer, DVD teaching, fellowship, and dessert. The workbook with all the homework can be purchased for $10. You can sign up and pay at the Women’s Ministry Table where you will receive your workbook and schedule. Sorry, there is no childcare available.
