CCKCwomen
The Women’s Ministry at Calvary Chapel Kansas City seeks to provide opportunity for the women in the body to experience personal spiritual growth, to have a more intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus, to mentor, teach, train, equip, and disciple women to walk in their scriptural role, and to offer outreach for salvation to the unsaved. These opportunities are created through Bible study, prayer, worship, special events, retreats, and times of intimate fellowship.
It is the desire of the Women’s Ministry to adhere to the instruction given throughout the Scriptures. As we follow these guidelines, we believe that the Holy Spirit will be manifest in our lives to glorify the Lord in everything we do as a ministry.
Upcoming Events
“Dare To Be A Daniel” Bible Study
The 2009/2010 Women’s Bible study will begin in September and end in April. The title of the study is “Dare To Be A Daniel” by Cheryl Brodersen. We are blessed that these Joyful Life studies are now in a DVD format so that we can glean from Cheryl’s teachings through the books of Daniel and Haggai. Cheryl is the youngest daughter of Pastor Chuck and Kay Smith and is following in her mother’s footsteps by leading these studies at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.
We meet the 1st and 3rd Thursday nights each month at 7pm at Joan Harper’s home in Overland Park. Each time we meet there will be a time for prayer, DVD teaching, fellowship, and dessert. The cost for this study is $5 to cover the cost of the copies of the homework. You can sign up and pay at the Women’s Ministry Table where you will receive your Bible study notebook, complete schedule, and a map to Joan’s house. Sorry, there is no childcare available.
Don’t miss this exciting study as we face the challenges of being relentless in prayer, living now for eternity, and developing a faith that conquers fear.
